ÖIF German courses A1, A2, B1, B2 in Vienna

ÖIF German course A1 for beginners

Anyone willing to apply for a residence permit in Austria for the first time must be able to prove their German language skills at level A1. For this purpose, the standardized integration test of the Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF) A1 – Fit for Austria is needed.

In the first part of the course, we will teach you basic German language skills and how you can handle simple communication situations, such as: living, eating and drinking, working, traveling, shopping, doctor’s visit, living together, etc.

In the second part, we familiarize you with the rules and values of the everyday life in Austria, based on the learning objectives of the ÖIF A1 framework curriculum and on key topics such as language and education, work and economics, health, housing and neighborhood, Principles of coexistence – legal integration and diversity of coexistence.

At the end of the course, we will introduce you to a model test of the integration exam A1 – Fit for Austria, which will be recognized as a language certificate for achieving level A1 of the Commo European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). You must pass the ÖIF integration exam to apply for a residence permit in Austria.

ÖIF German course A2

To extend your stay in Austria you need a German language proficiency at the A2 level. Anyone who has already been granted a residence permit must fulfill module 1 of the integration agreement within 2 years and proof German language skills at level A2. For this purpose, the standardized integration test of the Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF) A2 – ÖIF-Test New (2011) is required. The German test for Austria examines knowledge of levels A2 to B1. This test is recognized as a language certificate for the fulfillment of module 1 – residence extension in Austria to 3 years – the integration agreement.

In the first part, the course will enable you to deepen your knowledge of German and give you the skills needed to live and work in Austria. We discuss topics such as Media, school, workplace, housing, festivals, job search, health, banking and insurance, travel, etc. in more details.

In the second part, we acquaint you with the rules and values of everyday life in Austria, based on the learning objectives of the ÖIF A2 Framework Curriculum, and on key topics such as education and language, work and economics, history and geography, health, Housing and neighborhood, legal and cultural integration.

At the end of the course, we will introduce you to a model test of Integrations exam A2 – ÖIF-Test, which will be recognized as a language certificate to reach level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It serves to fulfill Module 1 of the Integration Agreement that must be passed within 2 years of the ÖIF Integration Examination if the residence permit has already been issued to demonstrate German language proficiency at A2 level.

ÖIF German course B1

Anyone who wants to apply for a permanent residence in EU or the citizenship, must prove German knowledge on level B1. For this purpose, the standardized integration test of the Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF) B1 – German Test for Austria (DTÖ) is needed.

In the first part, the course helps you to broaden your German language skills and use the German language independently in order to cope in the long term in Austria. Here, topics such as Family life, contacts, equal rights, working life, consumption, travel and traffic, nature and environment, health, politics and history, etc. discussed.

In the second part, we acquaint you with the rules and values of everyday life in Austria, based on the learning objectives of the B1 framework curriculum of the ÖIF and on key topics such as education and language, work and economics, history and geography, business, Health, housing and neighborhood, to inform legal and cultural integration.

At the end of the course we will introduce you to a model test of the integration test B1 – German Test for Austria (DTÖ), which is recognized as a language certificate for the achievement of level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It serves to fulfill module 2 of the integration agreement and must be passed in the integration examination of ÖIF in order to apply for permanent residence in Austria or Austrian citizenship.
